Hi, my name is Mark Evers, MS, MBA, CFP®, CRPC®.
I am Central Texas native, born in Austin and raised in Round Rock. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Melissa who was also born in Austin. This year I am the Instructor for PFI – 3301, Introduction to Personal Finance at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I am in my 3rd year of the Ph.D. program in Personal Financial Planning.
Before my time at Texas Tech, I taught for 3 years at Manor High School and spent 3 years in Round Rock ISD teaching Business, Finance, and Technology. Before teaching I worked as an Active Trader Stockbroker at Charles Schwab in Austin, Texas. In addition to teaching, I am an Independent Investment Adviser Representative/Managing Partner at Red Oak Financial Group where I teach adults how to handle money and manage investment portfolios for clients.
